ALIEN is an online magazine dedicated to all things foreign. Inspired by government terminology, to be "alien" is to be a non-resident, a person not yet "naturalized" through citizenship. We seek to acknowledge ALIENS, to appreciate the differences and similarities between homelands.
To be ALIEN is to understand what it is to be on the peripheries, to experience newness and nostalgia and culture shock. In a time when borders are continually opening and closing, and when flows of people are more volatile than ever, diaspora has become a modern condition.
Capturing this through art and literature we seek to retain cultural identity, to remain ALIENS.
